Merlin AU: Where the characters are college students attending the Camelot Academy of the Arts in the present day. ‘Sworn enemies’ Merlin Emrys and Arthur Pendragon think that they’ve seen the last of each other once once high school ends, but when Merlins acting coach Gaius manages to pull a few strings and land him a place at one of the most prestigious drama courses in the country, Merlin and Arthur are reunited as begrudging room mates due to Uther (Arthurs father, chancellor of the college) offering Merlin free housing as repayment for that one time Merlin sort of saved Arthurs life by pulling him out of the way of a recently fired lecturers jeep as she tried to mow Arthur down mid-breakdown in an act of misplaced revenge. Seeing no way to avoid pissing Uther off Merlin finds himself agreeing to sharing a room with Arthur for the foreseeable future, even though neither is exactly pleased about it. Meanwhile Morgana plays secret matchmaker and plans to set best friend Gwen up with her crush Lance while he paints the sets for her stage production, Mordred is fond of killing Arthur off in projects for his scriptwriting class which nobody else except Merlin seems to find creepy, and the Albion knights fencing team divides their free time between signing up for life drawing classes, challenging random people to drinking contests at the union and stealing Arthur’s belongings to hide in odd places around campus.
